Working at height on other people's buildings is a licence granted on trust. Here is exactly how we manage it, and what we will send you before we mobilise.
Nobody in this industry wins work by saying safety is important. What matters is whether the paperwork matches the site, whether the supervisor on the ropes has the authority to stop, and whether the evidence exists afterwards.
Our approach is simple: the method is designed around the highest-consequence risk on the job — almost always a dropped object or a fall — and everything else follows from that. Access, protection, sequencing, exclusion zones and rescue are agreed before the price is signed, not after.
Before we mobilise, you receive
- A task-specific risk assessment and method statement for your approval
- Access strategy with anchor arrangements and rescue provision
- Insurance documentation (public liability £10 million) and any pre-qualification pack you require
- Operative certification records relevant to the works
- Permit requirements, working hours and site logistics confirmed in writing
On site
- A named supervisor with stop-work authority present at all times
- Dual independent rope systems with back-up devices for all rope access
- Tethered tools, exclusion zones and debris protection below the work area
- Daily pre-start briefings and dynamic reassessment when conditions change
- Clean, protected and reinstated work areas at the end of every shift
Afterwards
- Photographic record before, during and after the works
- Completion documentation, materials data and warranty information
- An honest note of any further defects observed, priced only if you ask
