Curtain Wall Repair & Refurbishment

A curtain wall rarely fails all at once. Across London commercial buildings, gaskets harden, seals shrink, drainage paths block, pressure plates loosen — and the first anyone hears about it is water on a windowsill.

Refurbishment is almost always cheaper than replacement. We survey the system, establish why it is failing, and rebuild its weathering performance element by element — replacing perished gaskets and sealant, clearing and reinstating drainage, renewing fixings and gaskets, and recoating tired aluminium.

Work is phased around occupancy so floors stay in use. Every intervention is photographed and referenced against a facade drawing, which gives you an auditable record for warranty, insurance and future planned maintenance.

Questions we get asked

Is refurbishment really cheaper than replacing the facade?

In the great majority of cases, yes — often by an order of magnitude. Replacement is a capital project; targeted refurbishment is planned maintenance that buys you years of additional service life.

Will occupants be disrupted?

External access means most of the work happens outside the building line. Internal work is programmed out-of-hours or floor-by-floor with protection and clean-down.
