An AOV is a life-safety device that spends years doing nothing. That is exactly why it fails when it is finally called on.
We service and repair automatic opening vents, smoke shafts and ventilated rooflights: actuators, linkages and control gear tested and adjusted, weather seals and glazing renewed, corroded frames and flashings repaired, and faults resolved rather than logged and left.
Where a unit is beyond economic repair we design and install a replacement to suit the existing opening and the building's smoke strategy, with commissioning evidence for your fire safety file.

Questions we get asked
How often should AOVs be serviced?
Follow your fire strategy and the manufacturer's guidance — commonly at least annually, with more frequent testing of the control system. We will set a schedule against your asset list.
Can you replace a vent without altering the roof?
Usually yes. We design the replacement around the existing kerb and opening so roof coverings and waterproofing stay intact.
